Purple and Black card

Here's a challenge I participated in for my CTMH Consultant, Maria Bell. The challenge was to use purple and black. So I created a focus image with white Craft Ink, layered over black ribbon with gold stars, layered over poka-dot embossed purple cs, layered on black cs.

Okay, have you ever tried to cut a wavy line by hand? Dang was this crooked. I think I need the wave cutter from CM or something. I was trying to case a card in the SU Spring 08 Catty ... I better practice some more.

I made this card on Sunday, 5/25...Love the paper, print glitter paper is DCWV, on sale at Joann's!!, SU! products: Solid paper, Scallop punch, Word punch, flower punch and ribbon. Black inked image is Autum Leaves; Clear Stamps -Swirl vol 1.

Alright, alright, I know it's been awhile, but I forgot my login. Now that I am back in...here we go. This is the “Hidden Message” card I made with Maria's Card Challenge this past Saturday. This is my first time making this type of card and it was all due to Maria's Tutorial and quite fun. You must check out her 2 blog-sites - Stampin' Inspirations and Card Inspired . Supplies: Pink Paper by SU!, Plaid paper by DCWV, Printed paper and Floral Medalion by K&Company, SU Classic Black Ink Spot, brown grossgrain ribbon -Michaels.

Okie dokie, here are the cards I made last night. Guess what, my 2 cards and my scrapbook page garnerded me 2 prizes from a Club that I belong to. How good is that?! I think I hit the jackpot for scrapping--card making and scrapbooking. Have a great day and play with some paper and ink.

Sunday, March 2, 2008

I cannot believe it is the month of March already! Time sure does fly, even if you're not having fun. I have some fun every day....if only in my mind.

Today, I am working on a card but I made a scrapbook page first, which I have not done in over a year... so, here it is...it's a cell phone pic, which is not the clearest but it will have to do. (i'm still looking for my darn camera.) The 2nd pic is a portion of my scanned 12x12 page. This are the "true" colors...Purple Pansy from CTMH and scrapbook paper from Joanns, butterflies using Sizzix and some circle tags. "All About Me". Enjoy.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day people! Well, I thought that I would not celebrate this with a special friend, however, things change. At 1:30am on 2/14, I was awake making this card. It turned out to be a very nice card and it was really appreciated. A hand-made card was expected!

(it was CASED from Suzie_B at SCS-www.splitcoaststampers.com).

SU! papers, Grossgrain ribbon, Ruby Red ink, Happy Harmony stamp set, Cuttlebug Swirl embossing plate.

Sketches

Last week I joined a CMTH rubberstamp group (Close To My Heart). Now, I have been stamping for more than 10 years but I've been in a slump for about 3 years. C'mon, I still do my thang but not like I use to. At any rate, the CTMH has me stamping live again, so here is my card submission from 2/9/08 - it's a sketch...a format to follow; loose or close ... where ever your mind takes you - Enjoy and leave a comment...
